Lord, Guide my Steps

I have been wanting to put a weekly email out like this for a while, and I’m finally making it happen. Prayer is something I feel like is so easily to get pushed aside in the hustle and bustle of our daily routines, BUT it is one thing that keeps us connected with Jesus. I will be sending out Monday Morning Prayers for us each week. I pray that the topics we include in prayer encourage you to press pause and take a minute to communicate with our Heavenly Father.

Over the past month we have been contemplating lots of changes. Nic and I are trying to take all of our thoughts to God and allow Him to guide our steps. As Christians we know that God will provide all we need, but that doesn’t mean we just sit and let Him do all the work. We must seek His guidance, and when he speaks we must RESPOND.

If you have been worrying or thinking about what your next step is or where God is taking you to next, I encourage you to truly wholeheartedly seek Him in His Word and in prayer. When we asked for discernment to know His plan versus our plan, I feel like He will give you an answer that gives you peace, and you will know it’s from Him. Whatever you have been worried about lately – not sure what God is doing in your life, do you need to make a change, etc.- let’s lay it at His feet, and ask Him to fully guide us in the right direction.

Heavenly Father, I come to you this morning so thankful for your steadfast love and faithfulness. Help me be a light in the darkness and bring Glory to your name. Lord, I desire to do your will, and be a living sacrifice working for you. I lay my worries at your feet this morning. I ask you to open the doors you want me to walk through and close the ones you don’t. Help me trust you and give me peace knowing that you are the one guiding my steps.  Align my desires with yours. Forgive me when I lose focus and think I know what’s best. I am so thankful for your protection and provision. Help me hunger for time in your Word and presence this week, Lord so I can grow closer to you. Open my eyes to all you are wanting to show me as I go about my days. I thank you for these things.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.

We can try to make plans for what we think is best, but we HAVE to remember, HE has our best interest at heart + only He truly knows the perfect plan for us. ♡

I hope this was a blessing to you today. If you enjoyed, please save and share.

Warmly, Chelsea
